I’ve been in Silicon Valley geekdom for quite some time.
I like to think I’m open to technlogy; I like to think I’m hip to it.

But this ATM just started to make me feel old as I was quite suspcious of it.No envelope ATM deposits? There I was feeding in one check at a time even though it said it could take up to 10 checks at a time.

After each transaction, I printed out a recipt WITH a a scanned image of the check.

I realized this change was probably *good for me* and better for the environment, but somehow it is moving too fast. How do I trust it? I think they did 3 things for me:

1. Trying small amounts. They allowed me to put in a check one at a time.
2. Confirmations. Each time I put in the check, they’d say is this $XX.XX amount that you want to deposit? AND offered a receipt with the check image on it– mini-check very cute.
3. Available Customer Support. I had their number if something went wrong, and in the past, Wells Fargo has been great .
