It’s all in the shape: Pom Tea
I don’t know why no one has thought of this before, but Pom Tea Juice sells their product in a nice reusable cup. I’m not talking about those large plastic size cups. You know those kinds that you get from fast food chains with a sports team on it, and it’s so large you can stick your whole face in it. I’m talking about a classy glassy cup, maybe one for guests even!
I have almost have a set of 12 at home, and it really feels like a set of glasses.

This is a brilliant marketing scheme because:
Everytime I drink or put some other liquid in there, I am reminded of Pom
They did a couple of things to make the experience nice and classy, after all it’s just a bottle:
- It is foremost a cup, secondarily a bottle, thirdly a container.
- The glass is smooth , not textured.
- The cup is tall and slender.
- The label is clear perforated plastic so I can easily take off after I am done with the tea.No sticky paper left on the glass! (Thanks to Justin for pointing that one out!)
- The lid is a flip lid and not a twist cap.
Can anyone see any other reasons?

Hey… I am using it as a cup too.
It’s nice enough to fit in the cup holder. This might not be a big deal for the new car owners because the cup holder adapt to different size of cup.. but my car is kinda old… ONLY fits one size!
Also, it’s glass.. so I can microwave. It’s great to have hot tea / coffee / milk. But you might need a cup jacket which I don’t mind at all!
Good stuff!
I have a few at home… hmm… but I have never thought to use it as a set of glasses.. ha~

Ha Jackie! I knew you’d like something efficient and *economical* like this! Oh good point about the microwave bit!

the best part is that it’s on sale for only $1 sometimes. that’s cheaper than the cost of a cup right?
i didn’t know they actually market it as being sold in a real cup…do they?
hahaha, why are asians so cheap?

I as well reuse the glass everyday… And the marketing works. Everyday someone asks “What is that you’re drinking?”.
I would like to try to fine some Creative ways to reuse the glasses.
Over the course of the year if you are a daily drinker that’s 250 to 365 glasses sting around, or if we could publish a list of all the glass recycling centers maybe that would help.
I was thinking of making a small fish tank.
Any Ideas….

In theory, or perhaps at the end of the usage, the idea is fantastic. But I’ve yet to open a glass/jar/bottle of this stuff without having it splash all over the place. First time was on a pair of light colored pants. Second time was on a light shirt. Third was all over the sink.

Dennis, we’ve been also using the Pom glasses as a vase… heheh but a fish tank for beta fish would be great!
Jake, you must be very strong =), but yes I do see the flaw. Perhaps the lid could be better implemented … hmmm hmmm
